Creating custom UDFs

User Defined Functions (UDFs) can be used to add custom functionality to OverOps. There are two types of UDFs: "channel" and "anomaly." Channel functions are executed whenever a new unique event occurs. Anomaly functions are executed periodically in 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minute intervals. UDFs are associated with a View through the Alert Settings dialog.

To learn more and get started on your own UDF, fork the Takipi Field UDF git repo: https://github.com/takipi-field/udf. This project documents how to write, test, and build your own UDFs, and includes an example anomaly and channel function.
