Introduction

For legal reasons or due to special security concerns, you may not be able to have your data leave your environment at all – even in encrypted state. For these scenarios, OverOps offers hybrid and on-prem solutions. With hybrid and on-prem solutions, you can deploy a special server behind your network to keep your data within your environment at all times. It provides the same great server debugging, but with your data all in-house.

Hybrid Mode

In Hybrid mode (available in the Enterprise version of OverOps only), all your data is stored on-premises, and only OverOps' UI and analytics are hosted in the cloud. Data collected from your JVMs is locally redacted for PII and encrypted using your private encryption key before it is stored in a server that resides behind your firewall. OverOps' central analysis engine is only used to aggregate metrics and correlate events between different JVMs in your environment. The on-premises storage server does not need to connect to the cloud and can be completely separate from the public internet.

When viewing an error analysis, information is retrieved directly into the user’s web browser from the on premise storage server without leaving your firewall and domain.

On-Premises Mode

In On-premises mode (Enterprise version of OverOps only), everything is done fully on-premises. Data collected from your JVMs is locally redacted for PII and encrypted using your private encryption key before it is stored locally on-premises behind your firewall. When viewing an error analysis, information is retrieved directly into the user’s web browser from the on premise storage server without ever leaving your firewall and domain.
