Introduction

There a variety of different events. Some events are insignificant or known issues. Some were already solved will be fixed in the next release. OverOps enables you to hide events like these from the dashboard to emphasize the important ones.

Hiding Events

When you identify an event or exception that’s minor and/or already known issue, you can hide it from the dashboard. There are several different ways that you can hide events.

To hide an event:

  1. From the dashboard, hover over the event and click  HIDE.

    Or

  2. From the dashboard, click the event.
  3. From the Error Analysis page, click Hide.

When an event is hidden, any future instances of it will no longer be visible in the dashboard.

Auto-Hide Feature

Sometimes hiding events is not enough to reduce the noise. The auto-hide function enables you to set rules to automatically hide events according to defined filters.

Note: Auto-hide feature cannot be applied to existing Views, since it excludes events that match the filters from displaying them in the dashboard. To set auto-hide rules, you need to define a new set of filters.

The number of rules and the number of filters in each rule is unlimited.

To set an Auto-hide rule:

  1. In the dashboard: from the column heading, click  and choose the filters. You can add any number of filters available.
  2. Click

    The Auto-hide dialog box

  3. From the Auto-Hide Settings dialog box, View Settings tab, fill in the Auto-hide name and description (optional)

  4. Turn on Share this view with teammates to make the rule public within the organization (optional) and click NEXT.

  5. From the Auto-hide Settings tab, turn off Hide existing events in addition to future events to hide previous instances of this event (optional) and click Save and Finish.

 Marking Events as Resolved

When an event has been resolved and patched to the next release, you can cancel notifications for it.

To stop notifications for an event:

    Or
